Konstanz (Constance)

Konstanz is in the State of Baden-Württenberg, and lies right on the Swiss border. Indeed, half of the town is in Germany and half of it in Switzerland. It is a popular tourist town, being directly on the Bodensee (Lake Constance). I spent a year there, playing in the Orchestra - The Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie.

Münster Unserer Lieben Frau (Minster church)

A side chapel off the cloisters. Roof boss. There is also a Green Man misericord in the choir, but I haven't had a chance to photograph it yet There are numerous Green Men carvings in the cloisters. Here are just three
Underneath a statue outside the main entrance to the church. A roof boss in a side chapel adjacent to the chancel
A corbel stop in the nave A stunning roof boss in the nave
A foliate head corbel stop in nave We discovered we had photographed this green man by accident. He is underneath a corbel stop. The corbel stop itself is astonishing (see below), but we had missed this chap completely!
